NE\u0160POR &amp; JI\u0158\u00cd VE\u010cERN\u00cdK<\/h4>\n<h4>SOCIOLOGICK\u00dd \u00daSTAV AV \u010cR<br \/>\nINSTITUTE OF SOCIOLOGY CAS<\/h4>\n<h4><strong>CHURCH IS SUSTAINED BY THE IDEALS FROM WHICH IT WAS BORN: SOCIOLOGICAL<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>EFFORTS IN THE CZECHOSLOVAK (HUSSITE) CHURCH<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.theologicka-revue.cz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/KOR_3_2021_clanek_Nespor.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PDF<\/a><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Abstract:<\/strong> The Czechoslovak (Hussite) Church was established in the 1920 as a result of unsatisfied<br \/>\nideological and canonic demands of a part of the Roman Catholic clergy, and national and religiously<br \/>\nliberal moods of the public. The church was therefore occasionally accused of populism, and the<br \/>\nsociological interests of church leaders should be understanding in this respect. The authors studied<br \/>\nthe sociological efforts of church members and relevant publications, and although they state that<br \/>\nreligious statistics and sociology developed in the church in its first decades, its sources were different<br \/>\nand the application rather exceptional. The efforts started in (attempts at) sociology of clergy, and<br \/>\nthe latter important authors Franti\u0161ek M. Hn\u00edk and Vladim\u00edr Srb met the academic standards of the<br \/>\ndiscipline in their 1930s and 1940s works.
