He was<br \/>\nborn in Farasa in Cappadocia in Asia Minor in the territory of present day Turkey. Early he left Farasa<br \/>\nwith his parents for Greece. He lived on Holy Mount Athos where he became a monk. Already at<br \/>\nthe age of 15 he reached theosis. Gradualy he became a holy elder with many spiritual gifts and<br \/>\na genuine spiritual Father for many people both clergy and laity. He reposed on the Feast of<br \/>\nSt.\u00b4s Peter and Paul according to the old calendar.
