Traditionally, pastoral ministry has<br \/>been dealt with by pastoral theology, which has its origins in the Roman Catholic Church. In the<br \/>Czechoslovak Hussite Church, the pastoral ministry was reflected in particular by Otto Rutrle<br \/>and Milan Salajka. The clerical vocation is linked to the Church\u2014its organism and mission. From<br \/>the history of the priesthood, attention is paid to the writings and opinions of John Chrysostom,<br \/>Jan Hus, and Luk\u00e1\u0161 of Prague. The characteristics of the priestly ministry and its tasks in the<br \/>Czechoslovak Hussite Church are determined by theology and orders. The weight of the<br \/>priesthood rests upon its liturgical and sacramental role. In the current discussion, three models<br \/>emerge: the renewal of territorial pastoral care, the creation of spiritual centres, or a chaplaincy<br \/>ministry that is open to all.
